EdNet Presentation -- Chicago, Sep 11, 2007

This past September I participated on a panel at the EdNet 2007 conference in Chicago. The topic was "The Future of the Instructional Materials Market". I have made a Quicktime movie of the presentation slides with a recording of the presentation here. I welcome any comments!

Great presentation! The modular purchase is very much like what's already happened in the music industry. Consumers used to have to buy the full cd - even if there were only 2 or 3 songs they wanted. With internet buying options (itunes, etc.) the consumer now only pays for the songs they want. The changes the music industry has experienced haven't been easy but once digital delivered consumer selection music got rolling, there was no stopping it. The brick and mortar music shops are a thing of the past, but eBay, etc are excellent distribution alternatives for them.
